I've aquired a motorized LCD panel, and already have a head unit... I'd
rather not install it center of the dash, I feel it would block/distort
things. I'm looking at the passenger side dash (right above the glove
    box) for installation.

I know there's an airbag lingering around back there... anyone have any
good experiences with this? Things to look out for?

    Much appreciated...

I don't know the form factor of your LCD, so this may not help you. For
the '92 - '95 generation Civic Honda sold a replacement center console
(it replaces the section under the stereo where you have the coin
pocket, ash tray and lighter). This console has a DIN size opening
intended for the factory accessory CD player. Perhaps you could install
this console, put the new head unit in the console and put the LCD where
the factory stereo used to sit? See http://tinyurl.com/dsm5s

Thanks for the response.... I'm trying to avoid installation around
that area. I'd rather not have it blocking air vents/view of the road.
Plus there would be no room for my cup holder, which I use constantly.

Scratch that, I see it's actually underneath the CD player. This just
    may do! Thanks!

Kind of, you /do/ loose the cup holders if you install this console.
