we went out tonight in the dark with a blacklight and scooched under the
engine and snooped around looking for the telltale yellow trail. found
em all over the place. started low, traced back higher and higher. found
some truly apalling crapwork done by some yutz at some time in the past
before my son bought the car.. one spot in a hose showed unraveling
electrical tape concealing earlier underlying clear tape, with fluid
oozing all around that idiot's notion of repairing a leak. found fluid
all the way back to the differential and the power steering. up on top,
found a veritable lake of puddled coolant- actually three of them, in
depressions in the engine block, glowing like little green martian
    ponds.

my son is gonna drive the car in to his trade school monday and let the
whole auto class work on it and see how many things they can find and
fix. he's gonna get madder by the minute as he totals up all the ways
the car dealer screwed him last september.

guess she needs a transfusion to keep her pressure up, to make one last
trip to the hospital to get to the car doctors and the students.
this 'auto' be a real eye opener. stay tuned for succeeding chapters.

weird side note for 'woman's intuition": the first minute we saw the car
on the lot, I walked up to it, put my hands on the hood and said to the
car "tell me if there's anything I should know about you" and i got this
strong feeling something was wrong with one hose, right side of the
engine [driver side of center] out of plain sight, lower than midline.
sure enough, that's where we finally found the crap tape job tonight, 5
    months later.
psychic car trouble diagnosing? I'll keep a track record and see how
well my 'readings' match up with what they find.

you should try that with the stock market
walk up to the tv when the stocks are being updated, press your forehead to
the screen - and ask yourself "which CEO will turn out to be a crook", maybe
    it'll work

It was hard to follow your story. In the future, try to state your problem
or solution in a very concise fashion so readers don't have to try to
guess or figure out what you are trying to say. If I understand you
correctly, you have a problem related to a coolant leak. If you have other
problems--sorry--I missed those in your post. If a coolant leak is the
only problem you are having, I suggest that you start by replacing the
hose that has the electrical tape around it. After you replace the
hose--your problems might be solved. Regardless, that is the place to
    start.

Really wasn't hard to follow as she told us about finding the leak and what her son
is going to do about it; ending with how he felt screwed by the dealer last
    September.
Realizing that some only want the simple facts, others do like to post a bit more.
Nothing wrong with that I guess.
