96 prelude e-brake makes growling sounds?

    I've noticed lately that while my e-brake is engaged on my 96 honda
    prelude si(122k) and I get into the car it makes a low growling sound.
    The problem is worse if I'm on a hill. Any idea what is going on with
    the sound?
