97 accord stick-no start?

    Hey Curly,

    Starter is out -- howcum Honda uses two (2) different size bolts
    to mount the starter??

    Contacts in Solenoid are truly fried. Plunger bad too.

    Trying to order kit online now.

    Would you be better off picking up a used starter from a wrecker (or a
    good 'rebuilt' off eBay) in order to get you going again sooner? You
    could then take your time getting the old one fixed like new (or not). I
    guess it depends if you're keeping your Accord until 600,000 miles :)

    They give trouble so rarely.

    No sweat! We got my wife's civic and our MG so we be covered.
    As we are retired, we need less transport these days.

    If I can really replace those contacts and plunger for
    thirty bucks, that's a whole lot better than the
    (approx) three hundred bucks for a rebuilt starter.

    I really appreciate the tip.
