'97 Accord Transmitter Problem

    I have an alarm system, installed at the dealer when I bought by Accord new in
    1997. It's an Audiovox Pursuit alarm and has given me no trouble. I have two
    remote transmitters and both have seen better days.

    On the one I primarily use, the left button (used to lock/unlock) has stopped
    working. Is there any way to program the right button to take over what the
    left button used to do (arming and disarming the alarm.)

    I tried following steps to reprogram the transmitter, but to no avail.

    On a semi-related note, does anyone know how much a remote starter or automatic
    trunk release would cost to hook up to the same alarm?
