97 prelude master clutch problem?

Discussion in 'Prelude' started by Promising Lie, Feb 17, 2004.

  1. hi .. my prelude has been needing some transmission fluid for sometime now .. i
had to keep pumping the clutch pedal when it was on the floor .. now its just
on the floor .. i can lift it up and the clutch spring shoots it up .. i was
wondering is the master clutch is bad or do i just need to adjust the clutch
pedal assembly .. kind of curious .. also .. how much would a new master clutch
    cost me?

    thanks all

  2. Transmission fluid?... in the clutch master cylinder reservoir? What
you're supposed to put in there is hydraulic brake fluid. Whatever you've
done, I'm pretty sure what you need now is a new master cylinder and likely
a new slave cylinder. Check the prices at
