    Hi group,

    1998 Honda Accord, Ex, 6Cyl, 4 door.

The alternator failed, (Battery, brake, doors & trunk light), and I
replaced it. The new alternator seems to work fine for about 10 minutes, and
then starts cycling on and off. The lights come on, (Battery, brake, doors
& trunk light), for 2 seconds, and then off for 10. On for 2, off for ten, a
couple of times, then back to normal.

This appears to happen about the time the battery gets "topped off". My
normal drive to work is only about 12 minutes, so I can't tell you what it
does after an hour of driving.

Has anyone seen this before? Any clue what is going on? Do I need to
    replace this alternator as well?

    Thanks in advance,
    Al G

    What's your mileage?

SEARCH 'Honda Electronic Load Detector' it's called the ELD and it's
(molded) inside your under-hood fuse box.

    It is much-misdiagnosed.

Ok, I did so google. I didn't find anything I thought was related. Are
you saying this is a diagnosis?
