    Hi all,
So the sun of the cal central valley took its toll on the passager door
handle. I'm looking for advice and special tools needed to remove the
inside door panel to gain access for this replacement. Also sources for the
    handle.

    TIA
    Cheers, Nathan

Its easy. I'm assuming you don't have power windows.

Pull the clip out of thw window handle, and pull the handle off.

The next step is to pull off the door handle, 1/2 of it
pops off. There are 2 screws, so take them out.

Next, pop the speaker grill, and undo the 3 screws holding the
    speaker in.

Pull the panel out, to pop it out of the door frame, then lift
and it should slid up. You will have to unplug the door speaker
    now.

Thats it! Just be careful while pulling it out, as the mirror
adjustment area can get scratched if you are not careful.

most hondas are like this so your civic is probably the same. under the
inside door handle there shouyld be a little tab, use a flathead and pry it
out, take out the screw underneath it. While holding the door handle open
push the handle assembly to the right (maybe left with your civic) until it
is loose then just pull it out and disconnect the power door lock harness.
Replacement is reverse of the above. you can get a new oem replacement from
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ , or you could probably find one used
from thepartstrader.com ..You dont have to remove the entire door panel to
do this, but if you want to there will be another 2 screws (one on the
inside of the little pocket), remove those and unclip the panel from the
bottom with a quick tug. Then lift up and slide out away from the mirror.
