Of course grease -- any kind -- attracts dirt, but it doesn't matter.

  2. Of course dirt matters, especially in this case - you don't want a mixture
of dirt and grease sticking to rubber pleats which have to slide against
each other. Your Sil-glyde suggestion is the wrong stuff for the
application since it is *not* a silicone grease - check out the MSDS on
it.... it has *some* silicone in it but it contains a large amount of
castor oil which, when heated in air, oxidizes into a gummy substance.

What would think of Meguiars Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner for use on
CV Boots. I use it on all the rubber seals around the windows, etc.

LOL Well, that would include us.
Problem is AGS is a very small line for most distributors, and Sil-Glyde is a
mediocre-selling item in that small line. We carry probably 30 other chemical
lines, and every one has some undiscovered jewel that gets lost in the
landscape. We put an item in, announce it's availability, promote it for a
time with new-item marketing funds, then if it stops selling it falls of the
radar screen and stops getting re-ordered.

  8. Seems like what happened (keeps happening) to SuperLube. How much of this
is due to "shelf-blocking" by the mfrs/distributors? It really pisses me
off that I have to go to 3 different auto parts stores to buy what I want.

  10. I guess you just don't understand. As before, with your crackpot
suggestions, if you recommend something which doesn't fit, you'll get
    challenged. Get used to it.

Sounds like you're a member of Act Up, too, so you're used to saying
"Get used to it." Sorry, I don't have to "get used" to anything.

Look, DF, you're the one here is doesn't know shit. If you can't stand
someone to disagree with you -- and resort to calling them a crackpot
-- then YOU'RE the one with the problem, chump.

How simple can I put this: YOU use what you want, I will use what I
want. Why does that bother you so much? How insecure and/or anal can
    you be?

I have ZERO confidence in your opinion, but I DO have 100% confidence
in what I have seen work for me.

Go back to alt.flame...we don't have time for that childish crap here.

  14. Why the attacks?
He wanted you to clarify why having grease on CV boots wouldn't create an
    dirt encrusted, abrasive enviroment.

    And it seems you can't.

Stop responding to threads you won't participate in.
    You've said that before.....sheesh.

Seems like it needs a lot of explanation for you to understand.

Where were you the day you were supposed to get a brain???
Probably lost and waiting in the line with big sign saying "extra big noisy
    mouths"...

    Now, that served you well...
