Can anyone tell me where the location of the speed sensor (+5v pulse)
is? I'd like to patch into it so I can hook up a navigation system.
Is it accessible within the cabin?

    thanks!

To too positive on the specifics for hondas but i know that toyota/lexus the
VSS is a combine signal from the the wheel speed snesors used for the
ABS/VSC Traction control. your best bet is to get yourself teo pieces of
reference material 1. a EWD or Electrical Wiring Diagram and 2. a Component
Locator Guide, Lexus incoprates this in to the EWD and the Mechanical Repair
    Manuals.
I Know this isn't really a definitive answer but I Hope this will steer you
    in the right direction

As the other poster suggested, you *could* tap into the ABS/VSC wheel
sensor signal, but you probably don't want to. Besides, the wheel
signals often come from inductive sensors and are not suitable for all
    navigation systems.

If you go to http://www.hktrafficpro.com, select "support" and then
"Installation wiring guide" you'll be able to enter the info for your
car. Doing that, you'll find that the VSS signals is on a BLU/WHT wire
going to pin 3 of the ECM (=ECU). Check http://tinyurl.com/2plv4 for a
not-so-helpful drawing of the location of the various control boxes.

The VSS signal is used for the speedometer, the odometer and also the
cruise control, so anywhere near these components would be a good place
to look if the ECM is not in a convenient location.

My navigation system also needed to connect to the reverse light. An
easy way to find that signal in the cabin is to use a fox/hound wire
tracer kit like phone and network installers use. Remove both backup
light bulbs and hook the fox / signal generator between body ground and
the wire going to one of the bulbs. Then use the hound / tracer to find
the wire in the cabin. Chances are you'll find it somewhere near the
    fuse box.
