I have a 99 Accord and the wheels look grundgy....
These are the original wheels, probably aluminum or some alloy (I don't know
    the specifics).

I have tried to clean them with all types of cleaner, but the seam pitted
    from the brake dust residue.

    Any pointers on cleaning them?
I was considering taking a dremel tool to them, and sanding the heck out of
them. Then sealing them with some type of resin.

    Any suggestions would be great!
I hope to clean them up before I put on the summer tires.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

There are kits out there to do this. But be warned it takes a LOT of work.

You would be farther ahead, if you go to a shop that does sand blasting.
Have them do your wheels with glass bead and they will (most times, except
in cases of severe damage) look like new again.
