I was posting on this group for while when i was debating whether to buy an accord or a camry. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.autos.makers.honda/browse_thread/thread/e944b8ef33616bc9/cbc9321a927b6a28?hl=en#cbc9321a927b6a28 http://groups.google.com/group/rec.autos.makers.honda/browse_thread/thread/f4d688bf1462a551/c4bda10eb641b97b?hl=en#c4bda10eb641b97b Well, I ended up buying the Accord and just wanted to post up my few observances on it. Let me begin by making you jealous first. I bought a 2004 Honda Accord EXL with navigation, 6CD player, premium and essentially everything else they try to load in there. The car had 17K miles on it. I bought it in the last week of August for 18,000. No dents, no scratches on the car whatsoever! Love it! OK, sorry about that, just had to share it. =). Before this I owned a 2000 Corolla, and that was a great car too. Drove it to the extreme, and it stood the pressure quite well.. overall a great car. So my comparisons were based on my experience from owning a Toyota. The things I don't like (although very minor, but just in case if someone was wondering) about my Accord right now are i) No automatic headlights. Don't understand why such a great car with all these fancy features couldn't include automatic lights? ii) In my corolla, the doors would automatically lock about 3-4 seconds after I started the car. A great feature that I miss on my accord. iii) On the same note, when I would remove the keys from my corolla the doors would automatically open. Also another great feature that I miss. While I am not a 100% sure that the Camry would have all the features that my Corolla did, I would indeed be very surprised if it didn't. Besides that, the Accord is GREAT. A brilliant car, that I got at a brilliant price and don't complain for a minute. =)
Another thing which is a little off about the Accord is, if the doors are open, the remote control wont lock the car. All the doors have to be closed... well, come to think of it, it might be a safety feature, but annoying when you have to wait for everyone to get out, b4 locking the door...
