I know this subject has come up before, but I've decided to have a
little DIY fun and install the Honda keyless entry system in my
Accord. It looks pretty much plug and play. Anyone out there have any
    caveats?

I installed an after market keyless entry system in a '96 Accord. Not
plug and play but a very easy install. $39.95 from
http://www.partsexpress.com, part number 330-145. I would imagine the
OEM Honda system is quite a bit costlier.

You can check the installation instructions for the factory system at
http://tinyurl.com/2h7gq From reading the Honda instructions, I would
say it looks more complex to install the OEM system than the after
market one I used. The after market one does not have an alarm, but you
can hook up a starter kill relay to it (except the instructions for
wiring the starter kill relay are wrong). With the OEM system you simply
follow instructions, with the after market system you need to poke
around a little to find the right wires to tap into.

make sure to plug it into the right hole on the fuse box, there are
more than one. i had a guy bring me one that he plugged into the wrong
hole and i was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why it would
program but not function. one more learning experience.

Today I installed both the keyless entry and a 6 disc in dash changer.
Everything is working great, except the light on my clock is now
    broken. Any ideas?

    cheers,
