Aftermarket Rain Gutters?

I have a 95 Civic and every time it rains if the window is open a
crack, the car floods... what a stooooopid design.

Surely some enterprising soul has designed aftermarket train
    gutters/shields.

Can anyone give me a pointer?

    Thanks

You probibly have drain tubes hidden beneath the molding that are clogged.

Go to your nearest Pep Boys or AutoZone and go down the accessory aisle.
They sell clear or smoked acrylic window frame shields that perform this
    function.

If you're in Canada, Canadian Tire sells these things as well.

And umm, you *could* try just leaving the windows closed if it's going to
    rain...

    Thanks, I'll check it out.
Well, Duh :) Of course I always try to do this but it is a poor
design that assumes everyone is a perfect weather forecaster :). If
the window is totally open, it's obvious. More often than not,
however, I open it a crack to facilitate airflow for the defroster and
forget that it's open when I park since it's not obvious. Later, it
    rains and... flood-o-rama.

Also, it would be nice to be able to crack the window during a
rainstorm when the window is fogging up for the same reason.

Hmm... I'll have to check that out. I wasn't aware there were any
drain tubes... just the slit. Seems to me this has been a problem on
    every Honda I have owned.

Personally, I think car windows are a weather machine.. I've been working
the closing shift at work for months and it has NEVER rained. The *ONE*
time I leave the sunroof open (only tilted open though).. It rains.. Only
    misting rain, but still!

Seems like every time I'd accidentally leave the sunroof open on my
    Prelude it would STORM! ..

Pardon, I was thinking sunroof draining. Please ignore.

Yeah, I checked :) There is just a narrow channel in the sheet metal
partially filled with hard rubber moulding. Compeletely inadequate to
drain off anything but a drizzle. Hmm, maybe if I removed the
    moulding? Anybody tried that?

I've been to Japan and it pours down. You think they would have
    noticed the problem.

Here's another one that has been a problem with every Civic I have
owned: on exiting the car, my knee will often bump the headlight switch
on the steering column and turn the lights on. If I don't notice it, I
return to find a dead battery. It happens so frequently, I have taken
    to carrying jumper cables.
