I waschecking into getting a new battery for my 2001 Civic EX. The battery
guides states that the car would take a BCI 51, but all I've been able to find
is BCI 51R. Does anyone know what the "R" means? Someone had posted a Battery
Guide post on this ng that had a link which showed all the BCI's and
measurements and in comparing the two batteries, they seems to be the same.
    Thanks.

The R idicates that the + and - connectors are in reverse order.
