    Hi

Is it safe to remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (headers cover)? I
mean, is it supposed to block the hot header air from the radiator? Where
does the heat go to anyway?

Why would you want to? The manufacturer put that shield there for a
reason. What's your reason to remove it?

If there is a heat shield there must be heat and anything underneath that
heat obviously must be protected. For example, park over some grass on a
warm day with the engine running--it gets hot under the car and without some
of the protective shields there is a potential for fire.
