  1. Has anyone installed a 2meter ham radio in a 2002 CDV-EX? Where is the
best place to mount it, and the best place for an antenna....would like the
    antenna twoards the rear....

    Anyone have pictures?

My husband, the ham, suggests posting to rec.radio.amateur.misc as being
a more likely source of useful information.

  3. rec.radio.amateur.misc people may or may not know your car. Only you know
the best place to mount it. When I got my 97 Civic I had to sell my Yaesu
Ft-2400 and get a much smaller Kenwood 261 (which went T-U, so I replaced it
with a new tiny Yaesu). Just find a place where you can see the display and
where the power cord on the rear doesn't back into anything and get
scrunched. As for the antenna, what kind do you have? Ideally, you want
something mounted on the roof - even a 1/4 wave antenna will do nicely on
the roof. Otherwiise I'd suggest a 1/2 wave antenna mounted on the side, but
its base mounted not far below the roof surface.
