I recently purchased a used 2003 accord. The dealer I bought it from (a GM
dealer) stated he changed all fluids (and he's a friend, so I believe him).
Reading the manual, I see it says to use Honda AFT-Z1 transmission fluid,
and the Dixon is an acceptable *temporary* substitute. I just have a feeling
that Honda ATF was not used. Will this hurt the transmission like the
manual says, or is that just a scare tactic to sell more Honda products?

Sorry, "Dixon" in the original message should be "Dexron III." (Dang
    spellcheck!)

Change it to the real stuff. The tranny will probably shift like a
slamming door until you do, and who knows what other negative things can
happen without the various additives / friction modifiers that are
    specific to honda Z1.
