I recently noticed that my passenger CV axle was damaged and needed replaced, and today I was TRYING to remove the axle nut and it got dark, so I lowered the car off of the jack and tried to start it and it just cranks. This makes absolutely no sense to me, because I literally have removed NOTHING from my car. The only thing that I can possibly think of is the timing jumped a tooth..? I had the car in first gear while trying to break the axle nut loose with an impact and a breaker bar. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
