I have a 1990 Honda Accord with 160,000 miles on it and the automatic
shoulder belt on the front passenger side stopped working . Also, the
red safety belt indicator light is lit up. What could be the problem?
    Thanks.

  2. Don't know, but if a seat belt doesn't work, a good dealer will work
with you to replace it at no charge to you.

If you're in the United States of America, your Owner's Manual should
explain the terms of your seatbelt warranty.

  4. As Curly suggested, chances are this is warrantied for the life of the car.

    My 1991 Civic's is.

I took my Civic to a dealer in 2001. Same problem except on the driver's side.
They volunteered that it was under warranty. I checked and confirmed this.

They also ultimately said it was a morass to fix, but they got it done.
