My wife's 91 Civic has badly warped brakes (vibrates like hell on
braking). I am planning to replace the pads and rotors as soon as I
verify that that is the problem. Is there a good online supplier of
parts for Hondas? Are there particular pad and rotor brands that are
preferred for this car? Are the NAPA parts any good?

My experience has been with VW and Volvo; so I'm not up on the Honda
    parts.

    Thanks!

  2. Have you checked the lug nut torques and the rotors for oily smear?
No idea who makes the NAPA parts. This place
<http://www.importrp.com/home.html> sells OE type Brembo rotors for a
pretty good price - I haven't tried them yet but I think I will, since I
just don't trust the Honda OE rotors anymore. The Brembos may not be
better but they can't be worse. For pads the Honda parts have always
worked well for me so I'll stick with them.

I happen to have a source listing for NAPA pads lying on my desk.
Across 4 pad grades in a single application, it lists the following
    manufacturers:
BPI, Akebono, Bendix, BPI, Mintex, FM(Wagner), UBP, BUSA

So they answer is: It depends... on what they were putting in the box that week.

Stick with OE or name-brand aftermarket and you will be fine.
Raybestos, Bendix, Wagner. Brembo are fine for rotors.
