installed new pads on my 99 Accord about two weeks ago.

Brakes seemed to work fine, but are starting to squeak pretty loud. What
did I do (or not do) to cause squeaking.

    Pads were Wagner brand.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas.

  2. Steve,

First, a merry christmas to you!

I was told by the dealer when I bought my Honda that all Honda cars have
problems with brakes if they are not babysit for the first few hundred
miles. Because, as the salesman told, they have some kind of "memory".

    HTH,
    Debasis.

Did you apply "Disc Brake Quiet" or similar to the back of the pads?

  4. Did you get new inner and outer shims, or were the old ones reusable?
Honda pads (are supposed to) come with new shims *and* some Molykote 77 to
put on the shims... to prevent squealing. Did you clean up the caliper and
retaining clips and check the caliper pins for smooth operation and their
rubber boots for cracks? That's the biggest part of a pad swap job - the
clean-up and light lube of critical rubbing parts with Molykote or similar
    brake lube.
