brakes

  1. I have a 1987 hoda wagovan 4x4 and can't seem to get the mush out of the
brakes. I have replaced the master cylinder 2 times, replaced 3 brake lines
and one rear brake cylinder, I have manually bled and pressure bled the
whole system many times. I have also tightened up the rear brake shoes and
this didn't help either. There is no visible leaks and the pedal goes to the
floor with ease. On gravel or grass the brakes will lock up on all fours but
the stopping power on pavement sucks. I'm out of ideas, looking for help!
    Thanks

A quick check: Fill the master cylinder to the Full mark. Now floor the
pedal a dozen times or so. Has the level gone down? Then you have a leak
    somewhere.
