Brother ran another out of oil.

  1. This is it's a 1995 Accord 190,000 miles. I think it a journal bearing, rod
or crank that is making noise. At certain RPMs and loads it doesn't make too
    much noice.

How hard is it to get to the low end on these. Do you pretty much have to
    pull the motor?

What can we do, short of pulling the engine and fixing or replacing it? How
about some 40 W oil with some Slick50 in there for good measure.

He's using it for emergencies only now (can borrow somebody elses car). I
could see it going another 10,000 miles maybe

    Thanks

Slick 50 has been proven to cause more problems rather than helps/

I have 89 Supra that has had the rod knock for a while, drive it with
20-50 Synthetic and has held up for 30K.

Never Slick 50, has chlorines that eactually destroy
