I'm thinking of getting either a 2003 Camray LE or a 2003 Accord LX.
Which is better in terms of Reliability and Dealership Service? I
think my last Accord dealership may have just screwed me and I'm
    leaning towards the Camray.

Both are very good, but its your dealership you have a problem with..
Got another Honda dealer you can go to? BTW it is spelled CAMRY.

  3. Buy the Camray, you'll be the only one to have one!

Only you can answer that question. Take both cars out for a test drive and
purchase the one you like better. I would not base my purchase decision on
a dealership. You can always use a different dealership or an independent.

I just purchased a 2003 Honda Accord EX 4cyl Sedan and completely love the
car. I must have test driven at least 50 different cars (and done all the
research too) before I purchased the Honda. I've owned Honda's in the past
but felt I should keep an open mind and test drive different makes, but,
once you go Honda (in my opinion) you can never go back!

Dealership service has nothing to do with the car make. You will find some
good and bad Honda dealerships, and you will find some good and bad Toyota
    dealerships.

    Good luck

Btw, of the 50 cars did you test drive the Mazda6? If so, what didn't you
    like about the Mazda?

I'm in the market for another car and really like the Mazda, but (and it's a
big but) not sure how much Ford is actually in the Mazda. That's why it is
now my second or third choice.

    Thanks,

  6. No, but it has everything to do with the owning of the car.

  7. Lately, a BUNCH of Ford is in the Mazdas. In fact, Ford next year will
bring out its own version of the 6--much like Chevy and Buick share
cars, Ford and Mazda share cars.

I'd own BMW, Mazda, Nissan, Toyotas, Ford, Lexus, Chrysler, Hornet
etc, but I come back to a Honda Civic. An honest car in construction.
If you dislike dishonest people then buy a Honda Civic. New Accords,
Prelude, Passport, CRV etc are loads bad designs. They're not
economical & efficient. Toyotas are reliable but profits comes first.

I recommend Civics over Toyotas. Civics are safe , honestly
constructed (they don’t become flying shrapnels) and
enviromentaly friendly (less toxic electrical parts.) Sales team may
not. Starting after Soichiro Honda passed away in 1992, all 1990 and
up Accords are awfully designed. I’ve seen so many deaths
related accidents on the 2000s Accords. Some near my backyard.
I’m against the new Accord but not the Civics. Civics may have
its distributor assembly problems but to a mechanic, it's a price
worth paying. Sadly, it would cost me $88 as a mechanic but
non-mechanics $1000. Sadly, the next geration of Civic employed nearly
identical distributor design. Honda Corp don't get it, people are
being scared away from a good car.

It's been this way for ages:
    Ford and Mazda
    Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe
    Dodge and Mitsubishi
    Nissan and Renault
    MiniCooper made by BMW
Lamborgini, Audi and Porshe belong to VW
    Saab belong to GM
    Daimler and Chrysler
    etc

It's quiet simple, every brand is mixed up with some another brand.

Better? Both are good dependable vehicles. From what we see in
our fleet service business, every manufacture is building good
cars today. I would drive both and get a total drive home price,
then decide which meets your needs and budget, 'better.'
Be sure to compare both 4cy and V6 engines.

Um...they are considered the "best" in engineering and reliability.
    Yea...LOL...all seven cars!
Not true. Some are still sub-standard, and still some others are superior.
(Yawn) More non-information drivel to see his name in print.

BTW, Mike, we are still waiting...

And this would not be the first. The Probe was a rebadged Mazda --
made in the same factory, they just changed the emblem on the front
and the manual inserted in the glove box every other day. That didn't
keep either of them from being good cars.

I went through the same issue when buying a 99 Accord or Camry. I found my
local Toyota dealer extremely pleasant to deal with and the Honda dealer was
down right arrogant. Reliability, no difference between the 2 auto makers.
The cars fit and finish was a tie as well. I found the Camry to have a
softer ride, the steering was not as crisp, the seats were softer, the
engine noise was a bit less than the Accord. Essential I felt the Camry
isolated me more from the environment than the Accord. I bought the 99
Accord EX 4cyl 5 speed ( I like to row my own). I liked the more
sporty/firmer rode feel. In the Accord I felt I was more in contact with
the road and the car which is what I like. Just for the heck of it I
recently test drove the 03 Camry and 03 Accord. Again I found them just
about the same. Although my local Honda dealer was much more friendlier
now. I thought the 03 Accord has moved closer to the Camry feel and away
from the crisper sporty feel of my 99 Accord EX. I don't think you can go
wrong with either car. IMHO a Camry feels soft the Accord feels sportier.
I guess it boils down to how the car feels to you.

    Good Luck

Unless you're keeping the car for long time.
My parents in law are planning on getting a Jetta TDI. Right now, they can
can get a 2003 for 2500$ CAN less than a 2004 when it'll come out and with a
lower interest rate. Since they usually keep their cars for at least 10
years, it ia a real saving for them. In 2014, it will not make much
    difference if it is a 2003 or a 2004.

Then who's Honda in bed with? As for the Toyota matrix and Pontiac Vibe,
that was ONE car. Hardly what'd I'd call a partnership compared to Ford and
Mazda. As for the original poster's comments. I turned my nose up to Mazda
for exactly the same reason. Who knows how much Ford is in it. I wasn't
about to pay premium import prices for a POS Ford. I'll stick with Honda or
    Toyota.

I agree that Ford and Mazda is probably worse than most others. I wouldn't
    buy one neither.

I test drove the Accord, Camry, and TSX. Camrys are for old ladies. It's
bubbly, and high seated, and has no power. I asked the sales to tell me
what's good about it over the accord, he says the engine will last longer.
Took it around a corner and it squeaked! Both times! Wasn't even going
    that fast.

Why does there seem to be so many problems with the accord? True, or just
stupid little things like minor rattles? Accord has power (i tried the V6)
and i think it looks pretty nice inside. The sales guy even told me to
floor it up to 100kph to test it. Turns a lot better than camry too!

TSX, fun, small, sporty. Kind of kiddish though... and too much like my
    'teg.

BTW, where I live, the ratio of cars to people (including kids who can't
drive) is over 2:1. That means for every man, woman, and child in my city,
there are 2 cars. I think that's why the sales people SUCK here. Whenever
I ask them questions they can't answer, or they just tell me to "Look it up
on the internet!" DO YOUR JOB! YOU LOOK IT UP! AND TELL ME!

    That's my 2bits. (=
