Yes use Ramps to keep the car at an elevation, probably the safest to use.
But dont forget to put something behind the rear wheels to stop the car from
rolling down (normally it wont if the floor is flat)

U can get the ramps from Walmart for about $17 and also get hydraulic jack
just in case if u have difficulties in moving the car on to the ramp and u
roll over it. Also oil filter wrench is useful and will not cost more than
    $5 usually.

I guess now u can do it, and dont forget to wear some protective on your
eyes when u go under the car.
    Best of luck

    lastnn30,

    Yes, as Tom said.

And beginners -- or the monkeys ("pros") at the shops -- often tighten
the oil filter way too much!

Only put it back on hand-tightened...usually only 3/4 of a turn after
the oil filter gasket contacts the crankcase. I screw mine in until it
make contact, a bit more to make sure the gasket is seated properly,
back it out and then screw it back in a final time, doing the 3/4 turn
(put a reference mark on the filter with black marker if you want so
you know you've gone around only 3/4 turn -- or what the instructions
    say on the box).

Whatever, read the instructions on the oil filter box...it will tell
    you.

The oil filter tends to get tight after a while rather than loosen, so
you tend to "undertighten" it when putting on a new one.

    Good luck,

Or the drain plug. I tried to change the oil on my gf's Exploder after
a gas station mechanic had worked on it, and couldn't get the drain plug
out with an 18" breaker bar. I was rocking the truck fore-and-aft on its
suspension and it wouldn't budge. I had her take it back to the shop and
let them get it out, presumably with the same impact wrench they used to
    put it on.
