    2000 Accord, 145,000 miles 4cyl VTec.

The other night I got gas, not a full tank, pulled out and almost
immediately the check engine light came on. Car ran fine. The other idiot
lights function and did not illuminate. No other indications of a problem
    The gas cap was tight.

OBD code was P0401 EGR flow insufficient. The code cleared and the check
    engine light is out.

Is it telling me the muffler or cat is going out? Just a fluke maybe?

    TIA

EGR flow has nothing to do with muffler or cat. There was a problem with
Accords of that vintage with EGR passages clogging & there is a fix for it.
Take a look at the Honda-faq at tegger.com or call your local Honda dealer.

I recently had the EGR valve replaced on my 2000 V6 Accord. It was done
under an extended warranty. Go a notice a few years ago from Honda relative
to the extension of time and mileage.
