I have a coil on a 85 renault alliance that I need to check with an
    ohm meter.
It has a Plus, Minus, ground and the high voltage terminal to the
rotor. Can sombody explain what terminals to connect to to measure
primary and secondary resistance? Car runs until heated up and dies
with no spark from the coil.
Let the car sit for 90 minutes and cool down and it starts and runs
until for about fifteen minutes before quiting again. thanks tom

With the car harness disconnected from coil,
    Measure Ground to Plus
    Ground to Minus
    Minus to Plus
    Ground to High Volt
Then when car quits, measure same resistance and compare.
