    Hi;

I'm in the US. My 91 Civic is nearing the end of its life and I have
my new car fund is reaching maturity. So, in a year or two I will be
    ready to go car shopping.

The clean diesel Honda Accord is one of my top contenders. It hasn't
been released in the US yet. I understand that it has been on the
road outside of the US. I want to get a rough idea if it will be in
    my price range.

Can anyone tell me how much they have paid for it in countries other
    than the US?

Will it adapt well to biodiesel or used vegetable oil?

    Thanks

    Steve

It is not for sale in the US for emissions reasons. Honda has not spent the
considerable sum required to adapt their diesels for American emissions
    laws.

Oddly, Canada has much laxer emissions laws for diesels, but Honda still
does not sell diesels here. Canadian market vehicles are usually importable
to the US without problems. This is NOT true of vehicles from non-Canadian
    markets.

    See here for more:

Chances are excellent you will find it impossible to import this vehicle
    due to EPA regulations.

An EPA document you need to read:
