Cloudy headlight lenses

My '94 Accord's headlight lenses became very cloudy over the years,
especially on the driver side, apparently from water deposits. I was
wondering if there was an easy way to remove the lenses for cleaning by
leaving the chrome covered side in place. I have the service manual but
it only shows the removal process with removing the bumper cover, etc.,
that looks like an overkill for what I want to do.

I do see some clips at the edges of the lens, suggesting an easy removal
but that could be decieving and I don't want to discover it too late.
    :-(

Does anybody have a good advise on this?

    Thanks,
    Rudy

It's a big, sealed unit. It wont come apart. (actually it will, but
you'll have to throw it in the garbage) Removing the bumper and
headlights takes about fifteen minutes, but works better on a warm day.
Take them to a body shop who will use a buffer and some buffing compound
to restore the clarity to them, just like buffing the scratches out of a
CD. Be careful to tape the openings so the buffing crud doesn't enter
the unit . . . And dont' loose the 'elbows' that allow the units to
    breathe.
