Correct tire size?

I recently got a good deal on a set of used, but minty, bridgestone
potenza's (195/60R15) mounted on integra gsr blades and I'm planning
on installing them on my 99 civic se. However, the new rim'n rubber
combination is slightly taller and wider than what is currently on the
car. Is it safe to install a tire with these dimensions on my civic?
Any pros or cons to changing the dimensions of the tires?

    TIA,
    Curt

  2. As long as the tire doesn't rub anywhere, it is probably safe. The new tires
will affect your speedometer, it will read slower than actual speed. Your
acceleration will probably suffer. You might get slightly better gas mileage.

Mounted them and there was no rubbing. They did change the the way the
car rides, it feels slightly smoother now. The new rims look much
    better than the factory hubcaps.

    Thanks,
