CR-V 2003 AWD LX, 7,000 miles. Nice vehicle in most ways. Noticed
hood bounces/vibrates about 1/2 inch down and up in strong winds or
over about 65 mph. Anyone else notice this?

The other body parts around it are stationary as expected.

Latch & hinges seem okay. Allignment of hood to fenders etc., seems
    okay.

I did notice that 2 of the 4 rubber stops below the hood at the sides,
seem loose and can be slid around at their base about 1/2 inch by
finger. They can also tip sideways while finger pressure is applied.

It's not easy to notice this appearance of a loose/flapping hood (I
didn't until recently) because the hood is kind of out of normal view
unless you lift your head while driving, and specifically observe the
    hood at such wind speed.

It might have been engineered this way to relieve wind pressure and
improve aerodynamics. But it made me worry the hood could come thru
my windshield on a long trip, if this bouncing is not a normal
feature. Also, I doubt it's good for durability of the paint and
finish to be flapping around like that.

adjust the rubber supports that the hood is suppose to lay on......
    this will stop the flutter....

    Thanks jim,

Following your advice, now see the side mounts have spiral slot in rubber,
which allows adjustment up or down. Tried different positions. Still had
some movement even with best position of mounts all the way up on manual
inspection. But will monitor next time I'm driving.
