When I open my rear windshield (rear glass window - don't know the
correct name for it), it doesn't stay up. The shocks (or whatever they
should be called) don't seem to hold it.

I called the dealer and they quoted me $126.91 Can. for each part, which
sounds excessive to me. Can someone tell me if that price sounds right,
and if there is another way to fix the problem.

I searched the internet and this newsgroup for previous discussion but
    didn't find any.

    Regards,

any local auto parts place should either have em in stock, or be able to
get em easily. prolly run bout $40/ea. you might not need both. chances
are if you look carefully, youll see where one or the other is leaking
the hydraulic oil. easy DIY job.

Canadian Tire, NAPA, Bumper to Bumper. . . Put a 6' A frame ladder under
it when working. Simplifies the task a whole lot (saves on busted
window). It's even in the instructions that came with the shock from
    NAPA, as i recall.
