We'd like to remove the antenna mast on our '03 CR-V for the carwash. It's
too tight to do by hand; and seems to have two flat surfaces for applying
    a wrench. What size?

    p.s. I don't think it's a terribly dumb question. I know what the
owner's manual says about the antenna on a '95 Odyssey, but if they want
to remove it, and don't already own a wrench of the right size, this
would seem to be the best forum to ask, don't ya think?? 'Curly'

    Thanks.

No thanks to the bozos who posted responses that were even more stupid
than the "most stupid question ever".

Go to a no contact water jet carwash. You will not need to remove it and
avoid the scratches made by the crap stuck inside the brushes.
The water jet ones do a decent job and it is not like an automatic carwash
will ever do a perfect job anyways.

Yeah, but you would think you'd have had enough send to figure this out on
your own without having to post the question here in the first place. Now
    who's the bozo?

Get yourself a metric 8mm adjustable crescent wrench

In defense of the original poster. The wrench in question is called a
spanner wrench. They aren't cheap either but since antennal masts seem
to be a big problem amongst fellow car owners, it may be worth while to
    buy one.
