Curly -- You Rock!

    Just received and installed the Denso starter solenoid
    rebuild kit from Nations. Took mere minutes. And ...
    IT WORKS!

    Saved me about three hundred bucks! Many many thanks.

    I'm blushing!

    Now I feel ashamed that I haven't taken _my own_ starter out and lubed
    those noisy gears / bushing.

    If you do, it's way easier if you first remove the
    battery tray AND it's support. Then it's a straight
    shot to the two starter bolts. I discovered this
    halfway into the project;-)
