Dealer fixed oil leak, but now a "cricket" sound

I took my 1995 Honda Civic LX into the dealer to repair an oil leak (found
oil in the distributor cap and on engine block). Dealer replaced distributor
housing sub-assy, head cover gasket, cylinder head gasket and cleaned the
    engine.

After driving back home I am now hearing a "cricket chirping" sound coming
from the engine. It appears to be engine-related and not transmission since
the noise still is still audible when driving in neutral. This sound only
    appeared after the dealer repairs.

    Any ideas?

  2. You had the head gasket replaced? So many things could be squeaking. I
would start with the distributor housing subassembly, the common place
for cricket chirps related to the bearing. Find it fast even if it`s
new. Use a large tube, place one end to an ear.

Oddly enough, the noise has now disappeared. Barring its re-appearance I'll
attribute it to degreaser getting in the belts or something, since the
engine was cleaned as part of the service.
