I want to DIY flush my 2001 Accord automatic transmission by
disconnect a line from the cooler ( which one is best ? - how to
indentify ? ) and best procedure ? . Also from what I had read , it
is preferable to stick with the pricey Honda Brand ATF vs Dexron III
with Lubegard " conversion " additive ( I wonder since the other
lubegard stuff has work great for on non-"conversion" applications .

drain it and refill, run around the block once, drain and refill, do
this 3 times about 9 quarts total. this is the only honda approved
    method.
i have seen a bunch of honda trannys ruined by using dexron3 and
    modifier.

Drain & fill up (about 4ltrs), don't start your car.
disconnect the return line from cooler , the top one on the
trans, put it to a container. now get ready to fill , I guess
U know there is big fill plug on top the trans. When ready
(needs another 4 ltrs oil) get a your buddy to start the engine,
start filling as soon as oil coming out from the return line.
U only need to drain about 4 ltrs, stop engine right away.
need only fill 3.5 ltrs, just to prevent over filled. reconnect line
check level add if required. Done.

If all you are trying to do is drain and fill, why would you not simply
remove the drain plug on the bottom and let it run out, as recommended in
    the factory service manual?

Next time plan your fluid changes on a schedule more aggressive then
the manufacturer recommends. That way it doesn't matter if you don't
get all of the old fluid replaced and you don't have to resort to
risky schemes such as flushing or disconnecting all the fluid lines.

I have a simple philosophy when it comes to fluid lines/couplings.
Don't f*ck with them unless you have to.
