Do I need an oil change after an engine overheat incident? My engine
overheated over the weekend. After replacing the upper radiator hose and
the radiator at the dealer, it's working fine now. I seem to recall that
engine oil deteriorates at high temperature. Does that mean I should change
oil now even though it's been only 500 miles since my last oil change?

    Thanks,
    Dave

I would change it. Peace of mind if nothing else.

No....... I would say not to change it..... as the oil did should not of
got that hot if you shut off the engine when it over heated.... the oil
should of with stood the heat.

I would think if you had it hot enough to deteriorate the oil there would be
    engine damage.

    My $.02 worth.

wouldnt be a bad idea ? other than that I wouldnt worry too much about it?
Oil can take alot of temp. In the tropical climates it gets very hot too.
