    Hello,

Suddenly my Accord EX (1999) has this issue where I can't either lock
or unlock the driver's side door with remote / switch on the door. I
can only lock / unlock using the key (thank god for that.. ) - I took
to the local dealer (Herb Chambers, Burlington, MA) and they diagnosed
it to be Left side door actuator - They gave me a price quote of $360
for the part and $150 to install, which seemed little bit on the high
    side -

Can someone provide me suggestion in this case and also if you happen
to know a trust-worthy independent service in Boston Area, please send
    me the contact info -

    Cheers,
    -Srini.

The diagnosis sounds right. You can buy the lock actuator from
http://hondaautomotiveparts.com for about $32 and replace it yourself.
It is not a difficult job, but kind of cumbersome to work in such a
tight space. If you buy the part, you can probably get someone to
install it for less than $150 if you don't feel like it yourself.
Burlington, MA can't be a pleasant place to work on cars in November...
