My 1990 Honda Accord engine check light is on. What are the possible
reasons why it is on? I also wanted to know where the radiator fan
timer is located. Need to mess with it. THANKS!

Is there a procedure for obtaining the codes on a pre-OBDII Honda?

I used to have a 1995 Toyota. To obtain the codes on it, I had to use a
jumper wire between two fuse terminals and count the flashes of the CEL.

There are a couple of dozen reasons the light could be on. You need the
code that's behind the light. To find out the code, see this PDF:
    http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/misc/3173_ICCR_E_14JAN03.pdf
The Honda/Acura section starts on page 13.
If a "special tool" is mentioned, it's just a bent paper clip.

As for the rad fan timer, why do you need to "mess with it"? Is the fan
running all the time, even with the key out?
