I'm posting this for a friend, but I've been involved in it too:

Well, we've put a 98 b18 c1 into my buddies 92 LS with out much trouble,
    it's running a 94 obd-1 ecu. we're running a fully ported and polished head
with an obx-r header, no secondaries, AEM intake, Jun ACGs, 93 GSR
distributer and fuel filter, Aem fuel rail, 3rd gen RX7 fuel pump, B16A1
Pistons, balanced block, etc. Anyway, I list this in case any of this stuff
is a problem, I can't see that it would be. Anyway, At WOT the motor nearly
shuts off, as dif the ECU is cutting fuel altogether. it throws no codes,
and doesn't do it under around 80 % throttle. the car runs hella strong up
till 80% but anything past that leads to shutdown. anyone had this happen
before? it's really irritating, we're replacing the 02 sensor and the FPR
nextr, although I am not sure this will fis the problem. Aother thing, is
that it didn't do it with a previous distributor which had it's TDC sensor
going out. the distributer is a new honda unit, and the problem started with
the replacement of the distributer. the previous unit would rarely let the
car hit Vtec. the TDC problem is fixed, but this cut out is a bit
disconcerting to us all. Any input would be greatly appreciated. even if
it's just a "yeah, I've had that happen, no clue why" or "that;s wierd"
    anything is helpfull.
    ----

I should add that when we were at the "track" (abandoned road) his lights
would dim during shifts which I thought was a little odd. So, I had my DSO
in the car and decided to see check the battery voltage. It was sitting at
12.3V. I'm a Toyota guy, and I've read up on Honda's Electrical Load
Detector and how the ECU controls the alternator's output so I'm not sure if
that's on the low side or not. Of course, the voltage is a moot point as we
    replaced the alternator today.

He posted this in a Honda forum with not much response. Responses are very
    much appreciated.

  2. Could it be that the motor is an obd-II and you are running an obd-I
    computer?

    the

Is your distributor obd1 or obd2? ... When using different ecus (did u use
one of those aftermarket adaptors or rewire?) i'm pretty sure you still have
to match ecu to distributor .. (the only part this applies to)

TP sensor dead spot? Does the honda TPS have idle and wot switches or is it
just a plain old pot? this might not throw a code..

O2 and fpr will amost definitely not fix problem

post question @ hybrid.honda-perf.org also.. those guys are pretty
    knowledgeable..
