i just purchased a 1977 honda civic (automaitc). I want to replace
the current engine in it does any one have any suggestions on what i
should put in it to give me more power with out having to modify the
    engine bay?

An engine form an 80-83 civic with engine code EN1 will fit if you are
replacing the 1200. You need to use the 1200 engine mounts. The only mod
is to make a bracket for the upper engine mount. If you are also using an
80-83 auto trans you will have to modify the engine bay slightly.
