Exhaust question 91 VTEC

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Winnoc Potters, Oct 5, 2003.

  1. Hi,

Can i replace the standard exhaust for the 91 1.6 Vtec on a civic with the
one from a normal 1.6 civic or will this cause too much backpressure.

Ok, first I must assume you are NOT in the USA and have a B16A1 DOHC VTEC
    correct?

You could use the standard SOHC or DOHC non VTEC exhaust and would lose a
    little HP above 6000-6500 rpm.

For daily driving I doubt you would notice any difference.

Just where are you posting from???????
