GM admits it flucked up big time

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by me, Dec 10, 2008.

  1. Irrelevant to this discussion, you silly child.

Stay focused. We are talking about Saudi Arabia.

You are irrelevant to this discussion.

  3. Several of your non-reading clones have said the same thing in the past. Why
don't you read? How did your parents **** you up so badly that you disdain
    reading?

  4. Nicer = gets through traffic jams much faster than any car made a half-
    century ago.
For the same reason there are so many waxes, cleaning products,
detailing products, modification products on the cosmetics and health
market -- vanity, plus foolishness that they'll actually help.

Why do you think there are so many oil and gas treatments for cars,
    most of which are useless?
Still, they shouldn't hang rubber testicles from the rear bumpers.

  5. Don't be like a wimp. SUVs are fine for people who can benefit from
them, but it's silly for a sole person to drive one in a clear weather
metro area and take up too much space in the parking lot.
    Not according to your wife.

  6. Because Ford literally mortgaged itself before real estate market
values and the securities markets crashed, so it has $38B to work with.

  7. Why an opinion rather than the facts? Oil consumption can be
measured, so there's no reason to inject baseless opinion.
Aren't the vast majority of those murderers dead and their descendants
admirers of the US? But if I accept your line of reasoning, then
Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama wants Detroit and its union workers
to go bankrupt so he can help the murderers' car companies.

  8. No wonder you missed the meaning of those 3,000 dead and mentioned
    43,000 automotive deaths.

  9. How many of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi Arabians? How many were
    not?

With what prominent Saudi family was GW Bush socializing when the 9/11
attacks occurred, and what was their relationship to al Qaeda?

Who were the primary financiers of the religious schools in
Afghanistan and Pakistan and the al Qaeda training bases in
    Afghanistan?

What country's leadership went nuts when Death of a Princess aired
almost three decades ago? Think of what they would have done, oil-
wise, if we had accurately accused them of cohorting with the 9/11
    hijackers.

It's very naive to not place the majority of blame with Saudi Arabia,
a nation whose royal family is full of Jew-hating, Christian-hating
religious fanactics, the most corrupt rulers in the world with an
average of only a fifth grade education. Keep helping al Qaeda and
    Saudi Arabia by wasting energy.

  10. Then by your logic, we should trust only France because they're the
sole country that's always been on our ally, unlike Britain, Germany,
    and Japan.

You can't seem to follow a conversation. You are claiming SUV drivers are
supporting a country "who arranged for the death of 3000 American's in
Manhattan a few years back", and I'm telling you that the US get's more oil
from Canada then from Saudi Arabia, or anywhere else. If you can't stand
that, then come back into the discussion when you have graduated 5th grade.

You are the one who is being a wimp. You keep your tiny little Toyota.
Other people drive real vehicles, and we don't give a shit if you don't like
    it.

  13. I don't see much stuff made in Japan any more, except for expensive
cameras and TVs and, oddly, batteries (even plain alkalines), but I
still use a 32-year-old TV that was produced in Japan, a slightly
older verson of this Sears-branded Sanyo:

It's the one on top with the classy genuine fake wood grain. The
picture is still very good, and the only repairs have consisted of
replacing three electrolytic capacitors and soldering.some wire-
    wrapped connections (bad 1970s idea).

  14. That's not how you're supposed to use your camera phone.

I once saw a "NON TURBO" chrome emblem on a Dodge Colt.

  15. I'll add this: The boy we're teaching probably hears "royal family" and
envisions a handful of people. Wrong. It's big, and they've infested the
    entire government.

  16. Where the oil comes from is not relevant. If the amount we get from the
Saudis is greater than zero, everything I have said is accurate.

So tell me. Is the amount we get from the Saudis greater than zero?

    Yes or no?

    JoeSpareBedroom, Dec 13, 2008

  17. So, you're saying that in between an Escalade and the most compact Toyota,
there are no other choices. Just the two extremes.

    JoeSpareBedroom, Dec 13, 2008
  18. Which Schwartzenegger movie are you quoting?
I'm surprised the thing has no wind noise, despite being 22 years
    old.
    Macho man!
I believe you. Everybody believes you. You don't protest too much,
    Mr. Softy

Erm, my SUV takes up as many spaces in in a parking lot as my wife's Saturn.

Now, if you want to talk waste, let's discuss motorcycles. Those guys take
up valuable space all the time.

Let's not even get into how they are constantly going between lanes while on
the freeway. When I honk at them, they seem to think I've done something
    wrong.
