I have a 2003 honda civic ex and the heater control that adjusts the heat
levels does not seem to be working properly. If you put the control all
the way down to cool it should cool off right away, correct? And visa
versa on cool to hot? It doesn't. Is this the ambient air temperature
censor? If so how do you replace it?
    Thanks,
    Bill

You need to check the cable associated with that control knob...

Most (all?) Hondas use a water valve to shut off the flow of coolant
thru the heater core. It will take a few seconds for that hot coolant to
cool down once it stops flowing. It will come back on way faster.

on another note,,,Is the heater and air conditioner a unit together in
connection the blower??? Reason I ask is because we had a rodent problem
this last fall and were finding paper coming out of the air ducts. Honda
said today that it could be in there????
    Thanks,
