  2. Calm down err, Sparky or whatever your name is - that's two separate
brain-farts in response to one post... a sure sign that you're shooting
    from the hip.

  3. I dunno what's to fear from a dysfunctional system of govt(s). After all,
your mfr and service jobs are flying to India and China just as fast as
ours. Both are of course exporting the cream of their intellectual talent
    to err, where?.... the U.S.

  4. The abovementioned "hole" is hidden swindling by elected and unelected
govt. officials: double billing on expenses, charging of personal expenses
for a whole repertoire of abuses to Euro-govt. expense accounts. Those are
the same creeps who will feign indignation and outrage at any hint of tax
avoidance by individuals and corporations... as they blithely fill their
pockets from the public purse... err, TAX-FREE!!! The lunatics are in
    charge of the asylum.
War is brutal... and sometimes necessary... and nothing to do with the
current thread. Your comment reminds of the family who were quoted as
saying: "she didn't join the army to go to war".... D'oh???

If you really want to go into the rationale for the Iraq conflict here, we
can and I can give you some damned good reasons but it's not really
appropriate for this newsgroup... other people might get pissed off and
it's been hashed to death zillions of times before in newsgroups, fora and
blogs. Quite why you feel obliged to bring it all up again is beyond me.
I'm not sure if families whose offspring have been killed in war have
usually been financially rewarded or not... nor what price one would think
of. Certainly there should be no personal or family financial burden for
medical care of the injured. I've no idea how the system is currently
    working.

As for voting for intervention in Iraq, that *was* voted on and approved...
with conditions... which make discussion very complicated and partisanal.

  5. I haven't seen any suggestion that Bush and his admin. have been indulging
in govt. swindles, involving misappropriation of public monies for personal
gain. You seem awfully ignorant of the subject at hand uhh, SPARKY!

  6. George...this is a worldwide Honda newsgroup, in a thread about high mileage
    oil.

None of this US-centric political blathering is appropriate.

  7. Thread drift is normal in any Usenet group and there *are* political issues
involved in many automotive issues. Use ignore or kill if you wish...
though it seems more like "US-centric" which is bothering you rather than
subject drift... something which I did not initiate.;-)

I just love international emotional arguments. <grin>
Oil, arguing about what oils is best is a waste of time.
    Why?
Please study the topic Group 4 + oils.? The Chevron site is GREAT.

The BBB and API ruled that the new Dino oil and the old PAO oils are
    the same.
It's over, end of the trail, for "that" argument. Legal or other
    wise.
the base oil , becomes the same.
Since the additives are burned and exhausted to our AIR , then I bet
    the EPA
has a ton of what can and what can not be put in to oil.

    condensed story:
The DINO guys, take long HC molecules and shorten it and the Syn. Guys
    take a
short molecule and lengthen it, thus arriving at the same end.

Forget the past, it is history and so is everything you learned about
    oil.

The government is mandating the usage of this new oil.
    It is hydro cracked.
Very soon it will be, all the same (most of the best now, are G4)
    ..

What we should be asking is what oil is bet by weight or by usage.
low milage, high mileage, air cooled , etc.

Currently I am using the Chevron DELO oil. Catepiller and John Deer
    certify it
for both oil burners and the Gas engines.

I discovered this fine oil for my Air-cooled motorcycles.
Cheap "API" oil with bottom emission ring on the symbol is no good in
    Air-cooled engines.
The new V8 engines have pistions , that have there rings , moved up
closer to the top of the pistons, (read about how our big 3 , fix
    that) and guess what
those rings run a lot hotter. I just wonder what oil is best for
    them.
    For now it is DELO.

Don't take my word for this , check it out.

Good luck guys and lets try to give each other some respect.
at least we are all interested in facts and the constant search for
    truth.
In that , we are all brothers.
    good day. Bob A.
