I live in the Caribbean, the honda dealers here do not carry the honda engine oil; what would you recommend?

If it's the same as in the US, your recommended grade is 5w-30, IIRC.
And in that case, you can safely use Mobil 1 5w-30 with 5-10K mile drain
    intervals.

If you want to do 3K drain intervals and stick with mineral oil, then
    Pennzoil 5w-30 or Chevron Supreme 5w-30. I don't know what's available
there, so I'm just throwing out names, but really, if you're doing 3K
mile changes, pretty much any oil will do, as long as it's the right
    grade and API rating (SL).

    Cheers,

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

Thanks for the recommendation. I really appreciate this.

    Gratefully,

  4. Unlike the coolant and PS fluid, you don't need, or want, Honda engine oil
    - it has no special attributes. Buy a good quality brand name oil and in
    the Carribean climate, I'd recommend a 10W/30.

  6. Huh? While I use Castrol, there *are* other brands... which may be more
    available in the Caribbean.
