I just got a quote of $150 to do the rear brakes on my 88 Accord,
this seems a litttle high to me. Any idears what this should cost ?

  2. Depends entirely on what parts are supplied. If its shoes, drums and slave
cylinders, plua labour, $150 is pretty good.

About $20 - $30 for the pads and an hour of your time.

That's actually a little cheap, at least compared with what the "out the door"
final would likely be. I'm sure this only includes the pads and labor, and
    *maybe* turning the rotors.

This is a job you could be doing yourself. It only takes an afternoon and one
$10 special tool. You shouldn't be out more than $50 tops.
