after owning a 1999 toyota corolla until last month (written off in an
accident) and owning a 2004 Honda Civic for the past month, i would have to
say go with the toyota hands down. I will Never, Ever buy another honda
product again. While the Toyota ran perfectly for the 125,000 Km that i
owned it, the Honda civic has been nothing but trouble since day one.... The
staff at the honda dealership were very frinedly and helpfull while i was
purchasing my car, but after they had my money they have been extremely rude
and unhelpful. I suppose i now have a biased opinion which my be swayed by
the fact that i have a "lemon" for a car, but my opinion is toyota is better

    Jello-Head Honda,

That's what the announcer on the multicultural radio station in Edmonton
calls it. His name is Juan (not Valdez). Maybe he's had a bad experience
    with them too ? ? ?

  4. We leased a 98 RAV4 and just bought a 2003 CRV (for my wife) in September.
Newer models of both vehicles have increased power over earlier ones. People
complain about road/engine noise in both, but this is relative. We had an
Explorer before the RAV, and it was a lot quieter than the Explorer. The
biggest difference I notice, not very profound, is that the CRV has lots
more leg room in the rear seats, such that large adults like my 25 year old
son (6-3, 250) can ride comfortably for distance. This is not true in the
RAV4. The CRV seems like a larger vehicle. I personally prefer the styling
of the RAV4. My wife loves her new CRV though. In our area, CRVs were hard
to come by, and there wasn't a lot of negotiating room. The RAV generally
lists higher for comparable equipment, but there is more room for
    negotiation.

Test drive both and see which one captures you.

I have owned nough cars and have been hardened by the sales staff to know
that there are good and bad cars along with good or bad dealers. In general,
Honda takes the cake in being assholes regarding trying to make the sale.
Most honda places I have been to are resting on their laurels and could give
a rat's ass about making a deal. I had bought a POS car from another dealer
because honda was stuck so far up their bung. In general, it's a toss up
between honda and their competitors overall considering problems.

I am fed up with honda overall with their feeling of superiority while most
other car manufacturers are right up their with them. Right now I put honda
on par with hyundai except that hyundai's sales staff are a great deal more
    amenable.
