    Hi,

I have a Honda Civic GLi 2001 (Australia) and am coming up to the end
of my 3 year warranty soon. I'm wondering what people's opinions are
on the additional 2 year/40,000 km warranty and whether or not it is
    worth getting.

The Civic has 70,000 kms on it now.

    Han.

I don't know what it will cost for the Civic but when I was solicited
for an extended warranty on my 2000 Prelude they told me it would
$1,200.00 U.S. I told them I would take my chances. Suffice it to say
I didn't think it was worth the money especially since my last Prelude
went 310,000 miles with very little trouble.

It might be worth it; but, just to warn you,
I bought a GE Capital Warranty with a promise that they would
refund my money in 30 days if in changing my mind, I would request a
refund; but, I find myself waiting 2 months now after my refund
    request and counting.
